What is Soil?

Soil is the foundation block of the mod.

It represents the beginning of all gameplay mechanics.

It is simple, but essential.

Properties

• Slowness effect: players move slower when walking on it
• Fire interaction: extinguishes fire and turns into dirt
• Tool requirement: requires at least a wooden shovel to drop

Behavior

Soil reacts to the player’s environment.

It changes state when exposed to fire, making it feel alive in the world.

Despite its simplicity, it plays a key role in early gameplay.

Role in the Mod

Soil is the starting point of Trollblock progression.

From simple mechanics like this, more complex systems are built.
